Lake Wörthersee is classy

In between the smooth hills and high mountains of the triangle border of Austria, Italy and Slovenia lies the 17 kilometres long Wörthersee. It's water is drinking water quality and warms up to 27° in summer which makes it the warmest swimming lake in the Alps. Picturesque villages are located all around the bright turquoise blue lake: Velden with it's casino and castle, Pörtschach with it's flower esplanade as well as the lovely place of pilgrimage Maria Wörth.
